Serbia and Croatia Study Abroad Info Session

There will be an informational meeting on November 4, 2013 in Hort 110 for the Serbia/Croatia (Hort 495, Spring) course.

The trip will include visits to:

·         Field crops (wheat, corn, sunflower) breeding and research centers

·         Research and commercial grape vineyards and wineries

·         Vegetable (carrot, potato) production fields and processing facilities

·         Medicinal plant research center

·         State-of-the-art transplant production greenhouse and hydroponic lettuce and flower producer

·         Apple research center

·         Ancient monasteries and churches

·         National Parks

·         Roman Empire ruins

·         Historic castles, forts, and towns

·         UNESCO World Heritage Centers

·         Mediterranean coastline (Croatia)

·         Boat tour on the Danube River

·         Interaction with students from University of Belgrade (Serbia) and University of Zagreb (Croatia)

·         City tours (Belgrade and Zagreb)
